Unplugged for everybody?

I read some dude from another board say he had played MTV Unplugged and had a great time doing it. Of course, I couldn't be more skeptical, he said he just sent a press kit and a request to unplugged@mtv.com and they set him all up. He even leaked out a cover of Alice In Chains's Them Bones they did during the show, but by the time I tried the link, it was broken.

He said that's the only song they let him release before airing the show.

This dude is not even in a nearly mainstream band, his band's from Finland and he's got an awful voice, and bad songs.

Is this even possible? Have you tried it out? Will you?

    I doubt it.
MTV is about sales, not music.
