A joke said in an interview by the drummer in the band i'm in just might be something. "How would you describe yourselves?"said Chris Renni. "Deep Rock!" answered our drummer.
Now, I know that my band sounds a lot like Metal, as stupid people would say. But we mix Blues, The "G" word music, Indusrtial and some straight forward rock. So now we're the first of a new breed...
we are Deep Rock!

(shakes head and laughs)

    Like Deep Purple, who also combined those elements...

    At least, if that's how he meant it.
