Amp: 2 speakers vs. 1

Hi!
I'm searching for a new amp and the "Peavey Delta Blues" series and eventually the "Fender Blues Deluxe Reissue" came into my interest. Had no chance yet to actually give 'em a try, but based on the price and user reviews these should be fine for me.
Now, how do the 2x10" speakers compare to the 1x15" on the Delta Blues? What are the advantages of each one? Which is more versatile? Just to give me an idea...at the end I'm gonna try both of course.
