What effect is ed using on this song?

Its been one of my favorite things about the album...

you know the one... that bowbow... bow bowbowbow.. kind of thing... what is it?

i'm not hearing anything but a cranked amp. the guitar in the left speaker has some tremolo on it.

any other low throbbing is jeff's bass.

Its the guitar in the right speaker that i'm talking about.

its hard to descrbe the sound.. its kind of like a twang... it might just be the telecaster making it maybe..?

maybe it's that electric sitar he has? i'm not sure. i know what you mean now. i figured it was ed in the centre of the pan only.

its the main guitar whoever it is.(maybe its stone)

they may both be him playing. those power chords at the end definitely sound like ed.

i'm going with electric sitar for the right speaker though.

danelectro made a "swami sitar" or something simulator for electric guitar. for a couple years. never tried it though.

that would explain why Ed doesnt sound like that when they play it live.

case closed perhaps..

it really does sound like a sitar too.
