small town:

verse: D, C, G, C, G also hearts and thoughts they fade...

chorus: C--, A-- all these changes take..

C--, G-- Fade away, fade away... (ending when live)

Nothingman: this is how i play it, i think its correct, dont know one chord name

Verse: F (one measure), A min, F, x1333x

to chorus: x1333x, C

play verse during chorus.

other riff used 3 times i think: x1333x, C - caught a bolt of lightning; he who forgets; into the sun..

x1333x-- BURN BURN.. then C on last BURRRN

at the very end just strum F a bunch till song ends. i belive you have to cut one of the "verse riffs" short, i forget though.

i also know thumbing my way which is easy, but its hard to tab so pm if you want it

  • Are the chords for Small Town the ones written with the lyrics in the Vs. cover?
"Dude...it's a hamburger on top of a rocket ship!"
  • The small town chords are: D Cadd9 G Cadd9 G. The rest of what u put is correct.

  • Nothingman is not right. Cappo your guitar on frett 5 and go to Given To Wail.com to get the right chords... its right. I dont tune my string differently like it says though and it is perfect with the song.

its like a C, Am, G, and F rotation on frett 5 capo.

  • umm for those wanting to get good practice and a broader spectrum on playing id go with playing something by Kenny Wayne Shepperd , Jeff Buckly or even solos by Jimmy Paige...look them up and see how u go....a lot of diversity

  • small town goes D, Cadd9, G/B, Cadd9, G/B, G for the verses. the chorus is your basic D, Cadd9, G progression.

In standard tuning, without the capo, the verse for Nothingman is.....

Fmaj to Dmin to Cmaj to Dmin to B flat maj

    Chorus:

Fmaj to B flat maj to Cmaj

Bridge:(warning, I have no idea what the final chord is during the "into the sun" part...why haven't I gone to giventowail? Lazy, that's why. d'oh)

Dmin to B flat maj to Cmaj to B flat maj

    Pre Chorus:

I've always playing the B flat major the whole way through, lifting off my first finger to let the open A ring every once in awhile before going up to the C then into the chorus.

i'd swear to christ that the "Burn Burn" part is x1333x and the part right before it : "into the sun..." i play x1333x and either C or Cmaj
