Gibson SG Pelham blue

I have a fender strat which I love and am looking to upgrade. I love the look of Eddie's Blue SG but I am not crazy about the feel or sound of the SG(not to mention it may be out . I have only played a couple of them. I really don't want to trade in my strat but I was wondering what you guys thought of the epiphone sg as a cheaper alternative. Any thoughts on either one?

some epiphones are pretty badass like a Sheraton or a Casino
some can be made decent with a little work or a little luck (les paul)
some just have no hope and will NEVER stay in tune (SG)

I think I'd save up and get the Gibson Faded SG or something. Just play a lot of them cause they're hit or miss as far as quality goes.

Might want to think about a Reverend Daredevil if you want a good guitar on a budget.

The Epi SG was my first electric guitar. I went through a stretch where I didn't really care for it after getting exposed to other things, then recently I went back and took it into the shop to be set up. I love it now, maybe more than before. To me, the SG bridges the tone between the LP and Fenders. That's just my take. I will also have a soft spot in my heart for SGs. I'd love a nice faded Gibson '63 but until then the Epi isn't bad for the price...even cheaper than when I bought mine.

My Epi SG Special was set up wrong at the factory and Guitarcenter mysteriously lost the reciept. I sold it to a buddy and he likes it and I have an epi G-400 which I love. Watch what you get, though

Pretty sure they had a blue epip SG on ebay the other day, might still be up there. I remember seeing it thinking "oh Eddie" all it needs is the Who bullseye
