Don't it happen to you, that, in your band, youre the only hard pj fan?

  • I guess I'm lucky in that I have one other member who's a big pj fan, so when I say "hey, let's play" I at least have some support. Another guy is and old school death metal fan. The kind who thinks metallica sold out. He only recently even started appreciating bands like Pearl Jam. Sometimes I wonder how he fits in with the rest of us, but so far so good.
  • Just convert them all!! That worked for me!!!!!

Just get them to learn Even Flow....then they'll see what all the fuss is about

My lead guitar player and I are both big PJ fans... we actually sat near each other at the Nashville show this year (we are both from STL) and that was before we knew each other... small world I guess.

We work on adding not just PJ songs, but songs PJ covered

    Our list:

    Black
    I Got Shit
    Ledbetter
    Betterman
    Immortality
    Rockin' in the Free World
    Fortunate Son
    Baba (working on it)

We also do the live touches to the songs... he tags a song onto Ledbetter, and I always tag onto Betterman...

Last weekend I did Why can't I touch it... ala East Troy '03

I might do Save It For Later tonight...

Hell yeah. We play that just about every week pretty much now. Great song to jam to. Changes every time we play it now

here's the formula for finding PJ fans to play with:

    1. join a PJ cover band (*cough*brainofj*cough*)

    2. form a SEPARATE band with a few members of the PJ cover band (*cough*thedollars*cough*)

    3. mix and serve!

The only PJ songs i've convinced my band to do are Lukin(short, heavy) and Go.
I want to do either even flow or animal.
  • I am lucky. four out of the five members of my band are pjam fans. but myself and the other guitarist are the really hardcore jammers of the group.
