Has anyone been here? I've never been but I was told that it is in a pretty bad area. Any info would be appreciated. What is the parking situation?

Off of Ticketmaster, the parking situation is:
-Two garages between 176th and 177th on Broadway.
-Parking lot on 172nd and Broadway.
-On street metered parking also available.
Also, you can check out local parking garages on Google maps.
Hope this helps ...
Oh rise. You can't be neutral on a moving train.
There are much much worse areas in Washington Heights/Harlem. Its on Broadway which is not bad.
I wouldnt recommend walking on the side streets after the show on your own, but groups of people outside the venue going to/from the subway or their cars is absolutely no problem or concern.
wads of cash?
ooo that is right b careful u know how "those people in washington heights have no money"
thank god for the people around the venue that night, it is going to b soo much safer?

sorry, i'll be more PC.
Keep your wits about you and don't act like a jackass tourist or an I-Banker from Greenwich. Don't wander down dark alleyways, or stop to make small talk with the guy who asks you, "Watchoo need?" at the corner of 175th and St. Nick.
And in response to your seemingly-rhetorical-but-still-asinine-question, absolutely yes. It will be so much safer with large crowds of PJ fans walking to and from the venue. I don't know if you've ever been mugged or attacked in New York (or elsewhere), but the only times that it's happened to people I know personally we/they were in groups of 3 or less. If you're walking with a large crowd in the city, it's a good idea to watch out for pickpockets, but getting held up at knife-point is not really an issue.

if anyone is taking mass transit to the bus terminal and walking to the theatre, it is literally a one block walk. and guess what... you are not alone, you will be walking with a clan of PJ fans.
don't believe the hype. i still don't know why people assume the worst with NYC.
