"Crushing Day" is one of the greatest shred-solos ever. It's flat out amazing.
But for just feeling, gimme any of his stuff off of his self-titled bluesy-album. That album proved once and for all he is not just another solo-guitarist only out there to show off.Bright eyed kid: "Wow Typo Man, you're the best!"
Typo Man: "Thanks kidz, but remembir, stay in skool!"0 -

My favorite at the moment is Slash's "Dirty Little Thing" solo, it's so incredible. At first it's like "eh, Slash at it again" but if you really listen it's probalby his best solo ever technically. Sweet Child o' Mine is also a fave, and Page's Black Dog solo kicks ass.0

Beav wrote:Have you seen the Jimi Plays Berkeley DVD? They absolutely butcher HMTAC! These fuckin "Experience Hendrix" releases suck ass hole! This song is supposed to be three times as long. They cut most of the solo out and is painfull to watch if your used to the full version.
In fairness to Experience Hendrix, it's the late Mike Jeffrey's fault that the soundtrack of the Jimi Plays Berkeley film is so butchered. The film was released in 1971 when Jeffrey was in charge of the estate. He had ordered that the film be sliced to pieces to create the version we now all loathe. There's a lot of Hendrix concert footage that ended up literally on the cutting room floor. Thank goodness the Wally Heider sound recordings of both gigs were saved.0 -
