Bad case of G.A.S.

I didn't think that a year after buying my '72 Custom Tele reissue that I'd want to buy another guitar so soon. Right now it's between two guitars. The '57 Reissue Strat and the SG Special. The strat is gonna run me $700 more than the SG, so yeah. Has anyone played either of those guitars? Is anyone else suffering from gas?

Just all the time. I'm afraid I can't help you on the guitars... both way out of my price range. :(

The agonising irony in gas is that just after you bought something new, it hits you harder than before. You immediately start looking around for more/other gear!

I just spent a bit of birthday cash on new drum cases (cheap deal from Musician's Friend, $50) and a new snare stand. GAS is an evil affliction... I wonder if we qualify for government assistance in seeking treatment.

Hey ex, would Canada cover GAS treatments in the medical plan?

I don't have the SG special but I do own the Standard and absolutely love it. I've heard nothing but great things about the RI's for Strats. You want to talk GAS? How 'bout this for GAS... I've got a problem...

Back in January, I bought a Gibson SG Standard, Les Paul Standard Limited Edition, and a new Line 6 Flextone III Plus. Of course, I sold some gear to get new gear but you get the idea. Also sometime this week, I should be getting my new American Custom Telecaster (only 100 made last year). I've got GAS bad. After my tele, I'm pretty much sobered up for now... I hope.

Oh man, that IS a harsh case of GAS. I thought I had it bad. At least I'm happy with my effects. The only other pedal I'd add, just so I can get a little crazy, is a Whammy pedal. Other than that, I am happy there. I LOVE my '73 Bassman 10 4x10 combo. Just spent over $200 on all new tubes and a check-up, played two shows...amp sounds wonderfull. The only thing I'd add is two new speakers. It's running with two original speakers and two new ones, I know they're blue backs..the new ones.

Anyways, I think I'm going to go with the strat. Get the most expensive of the two guitars out of the way.
