I heard a couple different guitar players play through that amp while doing lights during a concert 10..11 years ago. LOVED the tone. I wonder what the price will be on that when it comes out. So now I gotta make a choice...the blues deluxe or.....

Plus a master volume and onboard reverb. That's a good setup.

My understanding is the blues deluxe was the bassman circuit with those two features added. The originals were pretty nice too.

oh man both of those are sweet. A friend had a Tweed deluxe he played with just a little Budda Wah and a compressor, it was awesome.

I love the bassman too especially in lacquered tweed.

    I heart Leo Fender.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

That's what they want you to think. But not quite.

Still, the Blues amps (Blues Deluxe and Blues DeVilles) are great amps, and they sound great with a little gritty overdrive, like a Tubescreamer or Blues Driver. I maintain that their onboard distortion channel is worthless. The 'verb is actually really nice, very lush...

i'll vouch for that as a past owner of a blues deville 4x10. great amp. just too loud for me at the time. the drive channel is extraneous.

    I

    Second this opinion.

The overdrive/dist channel of the Blues/Deluxe/Deville is a slap in the face to overdrives everywhere.

It's a shame they don't have a custom shop version. If it was done right it would be an all in one blues gig machine. I'd have left the OD out of the loop, like they did with the Tone Kings.

What would be even more cool.......That bassman circuit single channel, tube driven reverb with dwell and mix control and then a built in but seperate circuit tube driven tape slap back delay.

The blues deluxe with a Fulldrive 2 in front sounds phenominal, especially with an upgraded speaker.

Hell, what they need to do is put a RC4558P chip in the preamp.

Indeed. I heart Fender, but hate them for giving me GAS all the time. Arg.

And now I am torn. I forgot about the reverb on the deluxe. mmmm...reverb.
