    nice Kramer,

boy, not only do you want a rat, you need a rat. you can't own a Kramer and that blue guitar without having some kind of early 80's distortion. It just ain't right.

    nice guitars and pedal setup

I'm considering an MM4 after enjoying the coolness of the DL4.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

I LOVE it. Everything is stock except for the bridge. I didn't want intonation problems, so I had them put on a 6-saddle bridge when the guitar came in. It probably would have been fine. It's a MiM '72 Custom Tele, had a luthier friend of mine set it up...neck adjusted, intonation, etc. He said it was the best factory put together guitar he'd ever seen. I don't really use the neck position much, but it does sound good. It's always always in the bridge position for that classic tele bite, but when I don't need as much bite the middle position has a great sound.

The blue one is an Ibanez RG550 with a Dimarzio PAF pro in the neck position, stock middle single coil, Dimarzio Fred in the bridge.

Yeah, the more time passes the more the visa is just waiting to be charged. Besides, the Canadian dollar is high right now...so the exchange wouldn't kill me like it normally would. Hhmm...the duty will suck though. Oh well. I have another distortion, the dod corrosion. It sounds awesome, but when the distortion is low, it just sounds similar to the ts9 and any other setting is just too much for what I'm playing now. But I'm thinking the ts9/rat combo would be perfect for most of what I'll be playing. Throw in the dod when I'm thrashin.

Thanks, I love the board. It won't change. But I think I will upgrade to a voodoo labs pedal power 2 soon, from what I hear they are solid units that help cut down a lot of buzz and hum.

I haven't played it in a long time, a lot of buzz and hum. Over the summer I'm going to get a friend check the wiring and such and I'm also putting in new caps and switches, then she should be up and running again.

Depending on where and how hard you place your foot, I can get a variety of sounds from the CAT pedal. I'm thinking of sending him to Keeley to get modded though.

    No, jeez.

    Just three.

I only need three more, and my collection is complete:

    Tele-Sonic
    '72 Deluxe RI
    American Standard

i've had my eyes on that tele...beautiful guitar. However, i think if i get a tele it's going to be a 52 butterscotch blonde...i'm in love with it.

in general, how noisy are teles? compared to strats where do they rate?

As far as Tele's go the only other one I would get is the '52 RI, and the only thing I'd add to it would be these...

On mine, in the bridge position, I have enough high end to cut through a frozen steak. It's awesome. If I still need some high end, just not as peircing, I put it in the middle position and it blends well with the humbucker.
But yeah, bridge position on a tele is noisier than a strat in the same position.

I like the '52RI too, if I ever get a 2nd tele that'd be it.
