he got a little too crazy and went out of key for a measure or so. At least we know he is human after all.
"I'll do whatever the song dictates - if it doesn't need a real lead, then I won't do one. But if it does, then I'll fuckin' go off." - Mike
"Japan is awesome; the fans there knew all the words to all the songs...at least phonetically." - Stone
"I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version." - EV
I just got my benny cd this week. So good. But during all or none, and I think ...was it thin air or off he goes that eddie says something about being able to hear the tiniest mistakes in the hall and how they "...were't getting away with that one..."
Anyways, it just goes to show you that anyone, anytime, anywhere, is capable of making a musical mistake. It makes me feel better about myself when I think of how I started to play Everlong at a gig with my E only tuned down to D#.

That was Thin Air... during the little breakdown solo, Stone miffed it. After the song ended, you can hear Stone and then Mike go thru the riff, which was the funniest part...
...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.

Yeah, that was funny. They were just practicing up for next time. ; )
It's great to see it released with no overdubs, so many bands re-record solos/vocals on live albums that they end up sounding just like the original album versions. What's the point of that???
If you've got a selection of bootlegs through the years you'll find only Matt and Jeff seem immune to fucking songs up
Y'know, you remind me of a poem I can't remember, and a song that may never have existed, and a place I'm not sure I've ever been to.

Imagine that, the bass player and the fricken DRUMMER not screwing up.
Ok everyone, no more drummer jokes for at least a month.
; )
Get it...get it. Squeegee...like the squeegee kids that wash your windshield at intersections for money? Like..matt and jeff would be out of their jorbs and they'd have to resort to being squeegee kids...oh...nevermind, the reference wasn't that funny.....*sigh*

Exactly. They're the backbone. If Matt really messed up, he'd be outta there faster than you could say Dave Abrusqueegee.
