    How about this one...

So, should I get a black pickguard or use my tortoise shell that I have already?

    I like the black.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

Thanks for the pics very helpful...

I was excited about this stuff... normally a body goes for $250 by itself... and the neck another $200 or so... plus the neck has that nice tint to it... the whole thing has the beat to hell vibe that should look great when all put together...

plus the body looks nice and sounds like it will be a good piece of wood... only 4.5 lbs... the body on my squier tele weighs about 8 lbs at least...

I need to upgrade the jack, pots, bridge, and install a nut...

I hope to get it put together in the next month after the body an neck arrive.

any thoughts on what pups you'll use or are you just moving everything from your squire?

    Pacomc79 I like the black.

That makes two of us... but in the interest of minimzing cost, I might go with the tortoise that I already own.

However, a matte black guard, single ply would look really good...

total Keith Richards vibe... I would have a nice setup... one guitar for each of my "guitar heroes" and I could set them up under the poster of each in my room...

the Townshend, and the Tele for PT and Keef.

Cool let us know. A TBX boost would be cool on the tone pot. Like the Clapton Strat. It would certainly help you out strait into the Karman Ghia because it will overdrive from the guitar.

this is similar, it is a chandler but I believe it uses a battery I don't think the fender TBX uses one.

Well, I have upgraded the pups and tuners on my squier already, so I will just move those over.

I have a SD Broadcaster bridge (great lead pup) and an alnico II pro neck pup, my favorite setting, both work well with my amp. the alnico II is very sweet and musical. The broadcaster gets very dirty, perfect for dirty blues leads... ie Thorogood.

Beautiful, I assume the dirty blues is that much better in the Ghia.

Great idea... that would be very useful, I don't like to use pedals if I don't have to...

    I will look into that...

very raunchy, it loves single coils when cranked up... the P-90s really push the amp hard too, the tele pups allow it to stay clean longer.

A complete custom wiring harness for a two pickups, two control Telecaster guitar. Includes new 5 POSITION selector switch with: BOTH PICKUPS IN SERIES, IN PHASE (big fat tone), bridge pickup with midrange boost, bridge pickup stock, both pickups in parallel in phase, neck pickup.

PLUS the Torres Midrange and tone switch on the tone control. It switches from a conventional tone control to the super sounding Torres midrange control. Plus a new volume control, plus volume kit. All prewired and ready to install.

I am thinking about getting this kit to install. The pots and switch would normally go for about ($25X2 + $10 = $60) plus, it is all prewired... time... I could just hook up the pups and drop it in...

Should make for a very versatile setup.

Anyone tried one of these kits before?
