There appears to be some sort of large bird circling overhead... What could it be?

Oh no!!! It's a Silver Falcon!!

I found a very good price, and I figured it was worth a shot. Worst case I can return it... move it along... Best case, I really like it and I have a new best friend.

It is scheduled to arrive today. I just hope my apartment office is open again so the FedEx guy can drop the thing off.

The TopHat is still mine as well.

    Wow...........speechless.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

It is a new level of "gear-whore-manship"

Every one of the new FMIC Falcons I have played have been really great guitars. My hope is that I fall head over heels for this guitar. That is what happened with my J-200... I am coming up on a year with that and it gets better every time I play it.

I think that and the tophat could make a great team.

    Congrats :)
You did a couple things for me, one you made me feel a ton better about all the coin I drop. Two, you made that White Falcon even harder to forget about.

I agree all the new ones are excellent in terms of build quality, and materials. There are some great deals out there as well.

Hey that's why we are here... to talk about gear, discuss life, and most of all enable each other to buy more gear... :D

I think you should get the new custom shop Falcon with the solid top, dynasonics, and nitro finish... only ~$5000 street price.

The new ones sound very nice acoustically and plugged in... some of the older ones had laminated tops... this helped reduce feedback when plugged in, but killed the acoustic tone.

You could go for a J-185E It is a smaller J-200 body style with the electronics. No P-90 in the neck though.

Encourage each other to spend money, hide our purchases from our loved ones and pretend we have no idea what she is talking about when the amex bill arrives LOL :D

I have seen the custom shop axes for less then 3K. I really want a vintage Gretsch but I refuse to pay 25K for a falcon. I also was just sent an email by Gibson that they are not going to fill my order, fuckers nice of them to make me wait with hopes and dreams LOL. So, I have to make a decison, pick up a Murph that is being held or hang on and get something else ;)
The murph is stunning, I'll post some pics.

    I like the iced tea.

They are very good, and they have handled everything for me. I see no reason not to support them :)
I am leaning towards Iced Tea as well, and that top is just perfect.

well, they sort of do with the prices they offer...

they also offered to pull any guitar that M123 has in stock, even if not indicated as a custom shop model... also they offer their steep discount on the entire stock.

Those prices are tough to beat.

They are indeed, but it is the service that I have been happy with more then anything. The guys keep in touch and aren't afraid to give me bad news, something other guys use to sell inventory. They have earned me as a customer!
