I am just a beginner on the guitar. I am now trying to play Elderly woman and Betterman. For tabs or chords from bands other than PJ, what sties do y'all use. I have seen all these sites, and some have tabs for songs that may be not correct. How can one tell if the tabs are incorrect? What are some reliable sites for general guitar tabs or chords??

  • Giventowail is the best one out there for PJ, but the peeps at the GTW-forum have a sticky where they post similar (as in very close to correct) websites for other bands.

On a sidenote: tabs are never gonna be 100% correct.
  • Tab is a bad way to learn, just going by tabs. You have to be willing to figure things out by yourself, which is scary at first, but you'll learn more by fiddling around by yourself. learn the chords and try to figure out easy songs from there.

i started out learning from chord sheets and by myself thank god.

just sit there listening to a song over and over and over until you figure it out.. little by little..

it taught me how to play/write/listen/everything by ear, and more importantly, it taught me an unbelievable amount of stuff on chord relations, keys, etc.

but giventowail.com is zee best if you want them.
