This was posted a while back on my thread about which chorus pedal to buy (boss ch-1, boss ce-5, or electro harmonix small clone analog chorus pedal) which slowly died away without an answer:

Echo Flanger "Analog is better than digital. Go for the analog. "

Excuse my ignorance, but what's the difference between analog and digital?

    As a very general rule

Analog- warm, rich, often imperfect representation of the original signal

Digital- cold, crisp, near perfect (representation of the original signal)

However digital effects with proper EQ (high cut) can be mad to sound more warm. Think of the difference between a CD and Vinyl.

They are two different sounds, some people prefer digital some analog.

It is impossible for us to say what you need with out you trying them out.

The Small Clone is a great chorus, so are many of the boss choruses but they all sound different you may need to try them all out to find out what you want.

Personally one of my favorites is the Voodoo Labs Analog Chorus a model of the old Boss CE-1

However if you are looking for that drippy underwater sound the Clone Chorus might be the way to go, another option would be the Visual Sound H20.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.
