New Zealand connection to Athens 2006 show
(Hmm, not sure if this is a 'Porch' topic, or more fitting for 'Given to Fly'. Anyway...)
Just checking out a couple clips on youtube and noticed that at the Athens show in 2006, Ed thanks everyone who has come from around the world to the concert and then names a few specific countries, New Zealand being one of them (or perhaps the only one?). I'm just curious if anyone knows why NZ got a special mention at that gig..?? I can only assume he met with some kiwi's prior to the show..?
Thanks, and happy Christmas everyone!

Also, since that Athens gig I´ve been thinking about a specific thing. On the danish flag we wrote "there must be an open door for you to come back". We didn´t succeed in throwing the flag onstage during the show, but right after Mike lef the stage after the final YL notes, we threw it onstage and it hit Matts´ drumkit.
The year after, in 2007, PJ finally came back to DK.
And on the Copenhagen boot you can clearly hear Ed say: ...and we appreciate the opportunity to come back" in a somewhat funny voice.
I can´t stop thinking whether or not they saw the flag we threw onstage. I guess I´ll never find out (:
aahhh...memories
