What is this FAT tele. I don't see it on the fender webpage. I looked at some articles and reviews about it and as far as I can tell it's just a telecaster HS from earlier years.

Is it just a tele with a humbucker in the neck? Does anyone know?

Oh and I found out the tele HS hasn't been reviewed cause fender hasn't sent it out to be reviewed. That is the response guitar world magazine gave me.

  • A Fat Tele has a hummy in the neck, but I wouldn't call it a HS from the early days though. The hardware is different I think, other sort of p-ups, different body, ... (anyone correct me if I'm wrong).

Fat tele's are no longer made new, so you can't find 'em in the fender catalogue. I'd love one though, I'd prefer it to the HS or the HH. Check out the British bad Gomez, they use the Fat Tele's a lot.
