This shocked me. I know hoe much alot of people on this board love the townsend SG and how it is only to be had on ebay. Then while looking through musicians friend I found this guitar. I had know idea a p90 SG was available! What do you guys think of it?

I noticed it is missing some of the features of the finer SGs. It doesn't have a bound neck like standard or those wicked inlays.

I wish they would make a standard version of it.

there are many humbucker sized p90s now that could be put into a standard.
  • That is true. This one is basically an SG special with p 90s.

That seymour duncan phatcat looks good.

I was suprised that I didn't know this model existed. It must be very new.

They made them throughout the 90's depending on what was envogue.

It's an SG Classic. It's essentially an SG special with different pickups and a different route.

    Everything else is the same.

It needs better tuners, thicker strings and a good setup (as all gibsons do) and you're set.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.
