Alright...if anyone can offer some advice...i'd appreciate it...
i'm in a band and wondering what equiptment is best to record our own stuff...and then mix it and what not...

I think what we are looking for are either a mixing board type recorder that records right onto the cd...or something like a 4 track or 8 track...that will record...and then something like a computer program to use to mix it afterwards...

anyone have any suggestions?
Ideally also..i'd like something that can put in like a 4 beat of a tambourine or something....or some basic drum beats to add in as well....like an 8 beat w/ a snare....something along those lines...

right now...two of us have a 4 track..but we're both retarded tech. speaking..and we dont' even use what we have...so we are thinking of trading what we have in for something better...and more user friendly.....

thanks for any advice or help you can offer... :)
