SHITTY STRINGS!

Yup.
Weird.

My parents bought me a WAY WAY WAY too nice Taylor acoustic a few years ago ... the kind that you are supposed to baby, and hydrate, and all that crap ...

... well i've always hated the damn thing.
besides requiring more attention than a prissy girlfriend,
it isn't what i was looking for tonewise, at ALL.
My friends who play are always jealous of it, but to me it's just a drag.

Its an "auditorium" and not a dreadnought.
and i always loved that big booming MUDDY tone, not this sharp crisp "perfect" tone ...

I tried elixr stings and all sorts of nice strings and never got anything i liked out if it.

Well today i went out and bought some Exlirs AND some shitty DARCO strings ...

I almost put the exlirs on, but then decided for some strange reason to put the shitty Darcos on her instead (mediums, btw, i hate light gauge, blech) ...

AND I LOVE IT.

The "feel" isn't the greatest (probably because i have her in Eb tuning), but I LOVE LOVE LOVE the tone ...

it's FINALY got that slightly muddy, twangy, somewhat deeper voicing that i wanted ... and not that obnoxious crisp, ringy, "bright" tone that i have always realy detested.

WEIRD>
SHITTY STRINGS REALLY MAKE THE DIFFERENCE!
:D:D:D
If I was to smile and I held out my hand
If I opened it now would you not understand?
