Can someone give me some affirmations on this tune?
This is the clearest audio ... i think its the studio version ... right here.
Don't try to follow the video for hand placement, because its actualy video of THIS version!
The tabs on the net SUCK donkey on this one.
They have it in D with A7 chords. There is one somewhere that has it as an E and C, but ???
WHAT I THINK
pretty sure they have their guitars in Eb
(in the FIRST link. i think the live is actualy in E standard)
I'ma write this like its all standard (got it? so i write A, i mean play an a chord).
just listen to the live one i guess
Pretty sure it's
slide up to a A at the 14th fret and play it (14, 14, 14)
first line is C / / D / / A /// (played like the BELOW rythm, but with the A at 14 is substituting the low A, then the CDA portion)
followed by
A / / C D A / // / // (ah just feel the rythm i cant do that)
played either as 2nd fret (a) 5th fret (c) 7th fret (d)
or with the barre (e strings ommited) at the 5th, 8th and 10th respectively.
No idea whats going on during the verse except for the A-CDA part i listed. That is actualy like the response portion ... they are playing chords (in the live video only) during the actual singing portion (the "call" bit) ... followed by the A-CDA.
???
Think its an A strum, and then there is some progression, but???
Am i on the mark here at all?
Also on the studio, sounds like really no guitar during the verse?
Please someone.
I have loved this song for much longer than that damn dentures commercial, and would love to play it.
Also, my mum would be proud.

i listen to it again, and now i'm hearing a 7th chord in there somewhere, and it changes patterns to different chords for the "there goes my baby" part.
:(
If I opened it now would you not understand?
me thinks
Chorus:
D////D////A//// Slliiiiiiiidddeeee A - 14th Fret
Bye Bye Love
D////D////A//// Slliiiiiiiidddeeee A - 14th Fret
Bye Bye Happiness
then after hello lonliness the same way it is
A / / E / / / A / /
I Feel Like I Could Die
Bye bye my love, bye bye.
The D Chord is that full D from 2nd fret
going down adg strings, frets are 5, 4, 2, 3
A chord is open barre at 5th fret....
Then the
There Goes My Baby
best i can get is some cycle through E and A
maybe E7 sometime? not sure.
another chord i think, but can't peg.
God i suck.
