Digital Tuner help?

I just bought an acoustic guitar and am teaching myself how to play. We already had a digital tuner and im having difficulty working out how to use it. I got it to the point where it has 1E, 7B, 6E, 5A, 4D, 3G, 2B, for the notes, what does this mean? anyone wanna give me any sorta clue on how to work this thing?

Well, your guitar looks like this:

E--1
B--2
G--3
D--4
A--5
E--6

A seven string guitar adds a low B:

E--1
B--2
G--3
D--4
A--5
E--6
B--7

So that's what the notes mean.
