i've been playin for far far too long, but i can't fingerpick worth a fuck


any songs easy to start with?

    try the Unforgiven or Nothing Else matters by Metallica...or yeah, dust in the wind is a good one as well. When I first started playing guitar and I sucked, I just played the acoustic part on the Unfogiven over and over until I could play it perfectly with my eyes closed.

    Look up Jorma Kaukonen. (Jefferson Airplane and Hot Tuna and solo) He is amazing and has some instructional tapes out, too. He teaches a bit about how to play bass lines with your picking thumb, and leads with your picking fingers.

    Classical Gas is a pretty easy song to pick.
