OK, Im in the market for an amp. I want to be able to play pretty small gigs with it, doesnt need to be that fancy, and it needs to be relatively cheap. Any help would be great, thanks guys!

the marshall avt50 is pretty nice, from what i've heard (i don't own one). its 50 watts i think, but its tube, so its loud enough to gig with, and supposedly it has great tone. i'd check that out.knowledge is a tree

i looked at it, but its out of my range i think from the prices I saw. How bout $250 and under anyone?"Even if your heart would listen, I doubt I could explain"-Jimmy Eat World0

under 250? dude...seriously...there are no good amplifiers out there for under 250. If you can get like 600, get a fender hot rod deluxe. that's a great amplifierMy mind is not for rent,

great deals can be found in your local classifieds sometimes...keep your eyes out for 2x12 combos. most have enough power to drive a seperate cab, but can do the job just fine w/out one.0

Peavey Classic 30 will likely be the cheapest tube amp you'll find. They're a basic knock-off version of the Fender Hot Rod Deluxe:

At $429, they're probably still out of your price range, but if you found one used, it should be about $200-250.
The Peavey Bandit II is a personal favorite for an econo amp:

$400 new, but again, used price would be much more reasonable.
Essentially, you'll be looking for a used amp to meet your price range. eBay or bust! If there are any pawn shops or music stores with used musical gear, they might be a great place to shop, too.
This might be worth looking at:

All-tube for $220. It would be kinda small for club gigs, but if you got an extension cab (one or two 12" speakers) you could get more volume....and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.0
