Any opinions on this Gibson?

I've developed a bit of an obsession with them. :p

If I were a better player....I'd consider buying one now....but I'll wait at least another year.

Yeah, Real Hummingbirds were made from 1960-1996.
They were made with a Spruce Top and Mohogany back and sides.
I'd recommend staying away from the mahogany body guitars. Honestly I don't think the mahogany one's are worth the $$ you'd pay for anthying older than 1969. If you can get one made with maple back and sides (1962-1963), it'd be more worth it.
    Here's the Average selling prices:
    1960-1965 is $2150-$2500
    1965-1969 is $1550-$1800
    1970-1980 is $1000-$1200
    1981-1996 is $750-$900

  • I have the perfect pickup for you! a genuine Gibson Mini-bucker from either the early 60's in epiphones, or late 60's from fairly limted gibson products. Slap one of those in a guitar and you'll understand the meaning of "hot pickup"

its for sale by the way....
