was looking at this guitar port thing at the local music shop the other day..... basically you can plug a guitar or mike into it and record to your pc thru a usb port...... might have to go back and pick that one up. does anyone know what i'm talking about or have one, and if so, is it worth $130 Australian???

cubase will have a list of compatible sound cards and input devices. check their website out.
  • It's important to get a card with good drivers allowing low latency! Most (semi)professional cards support the "ASIO" system, which Cubase uses. So. watch out for ASIO compatibility!

Cubase itself...I love it. Haven't played around with the more advanced stuff, but I use it for multitrack recording all the time.
