So Sad About Us -- The Who
"Walter's Theme" and "Ages Of You" from REM's Dead Letter Office
Dance The Night Away -- Van Halen (everything but the lead and breakdown before the last chorus can be played easily on acoustic, though these two parts require a guitar with easily accessible higher frets, usualy not an acoustic)
Hunger Strike is pretty damn easy to play anywhere on anything.
I may recommend reading some older threads, as there are lots of posts on "songs for beginners" that have huge lists of easy pearl jam songs ... usually including the following
Not For You
Betterman
Corduroy ... ok ALL OF VITALOGY (someone usually says that)
other pj ...
LAST SOLDIER is great to play on acoustic, you need a CAPO
Black can be fun though a bit tough in the picking for a beginner i suppose
Porch is straight ahead except for the solo
Release is easy fun picking
Glorified G is pretty easy picking
Later PJ is not so easy on a whole i would say and is not as widely tabbed but things like
Light Years, while tricky can be mastered
Parting Ways is pretty simple
Present Tense, while in dropped D, can be played with not to much trouble.
I Am Mine can be done.
Anything by the Ramones
I wanna Be Your Boyfriend is fun on acoustic
Needles And Pins is pretty.
Dead Flowers by the Rolling Stones and
Used To Love Her by Guns N Roses, same song different words, D and A easy as hell.
Jane Says -- G and A ... easy as poop.
Over The Hills And Far Away by Zeppelin is not too bad. same with
Your Time Is Gonna Come
Let My Love Open The Door -- P Townshend not too bad, pearl jams way, anyhow.
Any song that Eddie Vedder covers as a solo set performance can be done.
Hope that helps.
I'll post more as i can think of them.
I don't much care for my acoustic guitar.
I like SUSTAIN.
If I opened it now would you not understand?
