Tube screamer and distortion pedal?

I have a Tube Screamer and a boss Distortion pedal.
Which one should be first ?
This is the greatest band in the world

    generally, the tubescreamer.

    place gain stages in order from lowest to highest.

    in my experiences...

    the tube scremaers tone will be lost if placed before another pedal...

    whatever distortion pedal is last in the chain..that will have the most effect on tone...

    so if you like the rounded out tubescreaer tone...then put that last. and back it up witht he beefier boss ds 1.

    thats wha ti do, except with a sonic disotriton

    that's true. in front, the screamer would act more like a boost to the distortion but after it acts more like an EQ pedal.

    When i put the Screamer first it kind of muffles the tone.
    I guess its still serving the same purpose. I do like the sound of the distortion behind the Screamer.

    I'd generally order my overdrive/distortion (gain-based effects) from low-gain to high-gain...

    But, as we say here time and again...

    Go with whatever sounds best to you.
    ...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.
