Just got a new guitar!!!

I am so fucking psyched!! :)

I've been playing and old Fender by Squire... $100 used at a pawn shop... but Sam Ash is doing a 15-month same as cash thing, and I picked up a '52 Fender Tele Reissue...

and yes, I'm lame and I got it b/c Mike had a '52 Tele...

but I fucking LOVE this guitar! :)
it sounds a TON better, and I LOVE the finish...
man... it's just so much better.

    congratulations... that is a great guitar. IMO the best production Fender today.

    And don't feel bad about getting it because of Mike... I play a Townshend SG (Pete Townshend and Ed) and a Tele (countless influences)... why not get a guitar of your guitar/music heroes?

    That's part of what makes guitar enjoyable.

    I have a fender '52 tele neck on my homemade tele... although I sanded off the gloss finish to make the neck faster... I didn't like how sticky the nitro was... especially when playing for a long time.

    Hah, I actually bought the same color as Mike's/Stone's... it's that yellowish color with the black pick guard... it's such a beauty..

    no worries... I was just going off the GtW page... as best I an tell, the '52 Reissue was the best I could do since I'm not affording the original '53 anytime soon. :)

    AND, speaking of that, I was watching that dumb show "Antiques Roadshow" last night and some guy brought in a BEAUTIFUL original '53 Tele... he had no idea what he had 'til the guy told him. Lucky ass...
