I am pretty sure it was in the movie Rush.

    meh, it's music, I'd say he is just heavily influenced by hendrix. Everybody copies. Imitation is the greatest form of flattery.
    I think trower has his own style too it's more of a mellow UniV tone than Hendrix.

    There is only so much to do with any instrument, but Trower is one of those you could live with out. I was so sick of hearing the song on all the trem pedal samples, I knew it was Trower but couldn't remember the name.
    I guess he just released a new album.

    so it would seem. I've never gotten into Trower either.

    Jack Johnson actually has a hell of a good example of what a univibe is supposed to sound like on his album "On and On" its track 15 I think.

    Mediocre Bad Guys is a great track using the vibe. It sounds really good.
