How much did it cost you?

Don't ask. You really don't want to know. A lot less than it's probably worth.

Just appreciate it's greatness and the fact the wife understands the need for it to be displayed.

Essentially, it's excalibur only finer, because it must live up to the legend.

That is phenominal jason, exactly as I expected. I bet it's tough to put it down.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

Yeah as Pac said it was a really good deal. I was in the market for a Murphy and this one was calling my name. Hey Pac, I put on the Indiana Jones hat and thought man does it get any better ;)
I can't thank my wife enough!
    Here are some specs:
    2004 Murphy-aged 59' Reissue.

Purchased new from Music Machine at 2004 Dallas guitar Show.

    Iced Tea finish.

Hand-picked by Dave Paetow, Dave Rogers, and Jim Barth the previous owner. Color is exactly the same as Dave Roger's original 59'.

    Extremely right looking top.

RS Relics switchtip, RS Relics thin aged jack plate, and RS Relics aged knobs.

    Angel pickup rings and pickguard.

WD thinned and aged cream switchring.

    Voodoo 59' double-cream pickups.

AllParts aged tuner buttons only available for a very short time several years ago. Comparable in quality and color to Lou's buttons.

Extra bonus!!! Original 50's nickel tailpiece studs included.

All case candy and Custom Shop certificate signed by Murphy.

    Brown reissue case.

8# 15 oz. on digital scale.

The pups are exactly what I was looking for in terms of tone:
