Led Zep at Roo? I think so!

The reason for this are the following:

- All the media releases that are stating that LZ will in fact headline the fastival has to have its roots somewhere. I have been reading this on too many places for it to be complete bogus.

- I also believe that they are holding back the announcement to give the dedicated Roo fans, veterans and other americans the first opportunity to get their tickets. If LZ were announced, tickets would fly away in matter of hours and people from all over the world would come over to eat up tickets, servers, and whatnot. It would result in total kaos! I think they are holding the name back for these reasons.

- Robert Plant is already there! Do I need to explain further??

When the first batch of tickets are sold, I truly believe that we will get the official announcement that LZ will in fact be there!

look i don't know nor do I really care, but I reckion Led zep would have already been announced. The organisers wouldn't care about loyalty, it is a business. They want to sell as many tickets as they can. Loyalty in this world is sadly a thing of the past. In all aspects of life, it is driven by $$$$$$$$

The festival sells out every year. They aren't worried about selling tickets.

Yeah but who and why have they got to be loyal to?

I hope for everyone who is going they play. It would be sick.

They will sell their tickets and make their money no matter when in the process LZ is announced. There are only so many they can sell!

    Don't see your logic.

By announcing LZ they would also risk a ton of people buying tix and showing up only for LZ. A lot of older people would have no problem dropping 250 plus travel to go to tennessee just to see Zep then leave. They know there tix will sell regardless so why not make sure the tix go to people who are going to stay there all weekend and SPEND MONEY all weekend.

& they don't announce it until sold out, and real lz fans miss out?? That isn't what LZ would want. Imagine if Pj announced after a festival was sold out that they were going to headline it and you didn't have a ticket. How dirty would you be?

    What is your logic? :D

hehe, not much logic on this board when news are revealed:-) I see your point!

They are selling tickets in batches, thats at least what I heard. So when the first batch is cleared, (which might be 50% or so) they will be better prepared for the LZ storm.

Im just speculating off course. It would be awsome though seing Robert Plants respect for Pearl Jam and vise versa! I can totally see Eddie on stage with LZ:-)

Good to see we can see each other's points now. It is about 1am here, so my logic isn't very logic. go to be up in 5 hrs. Why do I do this to myself????

I suppose when June finally rolls around and Led Zeppelin does not perform at Bonnaroo, then everyone who's been caught up in this huge hysteria will finally believe that this particular band IS NOT PLAYING BONNAROO.

Geez, people. Get over the conspiracy theories.

I am not saying they will play it, just saying I could see Roo doing it this way if they were playing.

    Yeah, that did the trick...
Good to see they are correcting themselves, but its pretty embarrasing to confuse Lez zep with the real thing....

I understand some of the rationale, but in this case it just doesn't apply.

I really think Zep will be announced after tix go on sale. Just a feeling. Not based on anything. Just a hunch.
