Ok , I just bought a guitar with an amp . Can anyone recommend any good ways to get good like mike or stone ?

I know my question sounds really noobish , but dont know any other way to put .

FYI , my guitar is an epiphone Les Paul Special II and a marshall MG15dfx .

I knows my gear sucks but I *really* have no money . :(

To get as good as mike or stone doesn't happen overnight. Start with the basics, learn basic chords, learn to switch them, learn bar chords and extended chords and the idea behind them, learn a few scales and look around for easy tabbed songs to keep it from turning into a drag. That's my progress for 5 years now, and I'm hoping that I've reached Ed's level by doing so. Stone? maybe... Mike? In my dreams...

Don't worry about the gear, yours sounds pretty decent for a starter.

that's like asking who is the best guitar player ever. It's too subjective.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

I PREFER Stones hooks, but that doesn't make him better than Mikey.

go to given to wail. they have everything that you could possible want.. great section for people who are just begining. after a while go to the harder stuff. when you first start off it's real hard your fingers will hurt chords will seem impossible but just stick with it. i have been playing for 15 years and it's so great to pick up a guitar and to play music.

I dunno. I can't play guitar, but that hasn't stopped me for the last 10 years.
...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.

Hell, I also can't play piano, bass, or drums, but I own, and occasionally make noise on, a bass, a keyboard, and a drum kit. Making music and being a musician aren't necessarily mutual events.

Oh, and harmonica and mandolin. Those too.
