Is 'strangest tribe' in a strange mode?

It's always struck me that there is something similar between Strangest Tribe and Radiohead's "A Wolf at the Door". They have this medieval sound. I haven't looked into it, but does anyone know if the songs are in uncommon modes?

I couldn't name a specific mode that fits the song (nor, would I guess, was it specifically written in one mode) but it does have elements of Eastern, Middle Eastern, and Native American music. My guess would be that whoever came up with the riff (wasn't it Stone?) did so entirely by accident, and that set the tone for the lyrical content about Inuits/Eskimos....and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.0
