Yes! I heard that Analog Mike will create a new Analog Delay pedal! It will not be out for another couple of months, but I can't wait! It was displayed in the Philly Show over this weekend!

  • Analog Mike's Analog Delay!!!

Yes, I saw it. Only a prototype, Mike says he's looking to have it ready for production in about 3 months. Two independent delay settings with delay time, mix, and feedback controls for each setting. Stereo outs. A/B switch to select the delay setting. Master on/off switch. Plus - modulation! Depth and Speed controls. The modulation affects both delays. Mike is still open to suggestions for tweaking this puppy. He considered an on/off switch for the modulation - right now, you turn it off by turning the depth all the way down. High speed and depth and you got Vibrato!

So it's like two analog delays (or at least two delay settings) - each with 3 controls (time, feedback, mix), A/B delay selector, and 2 modulation controls (speed and depth) maybe an on/off for the mod, and there's another thing, what was it, True Bypass of course.

There was something else, what was it? He said the tone will be brighter than an AD9 or DM2, not as bright as digital. Sort of a clean analog delay tone.

That other thing? Oh, yeah, now I remember ... 600 ms of delay!!!

so in other words a happy medium a very clean analog delay pedal.

I wonder how far above $300 bucks it will be.

Might as well get the fulltone tape delay for a grand.

i can see the fulltone being useful for studio but who would want to haul around that thing to play live i don't know. i guess if you had roadies. oh wait, if you have roadies, you have 1000 to buy a tape echo.

i'm sure this analogman delay will be cool but you know there's going to be a 25-40% premium built in just b/c the thing's analog.

we'll I just meant if you were going to be in debt over a box it might as well be a big one. I've come to realise the Tape Echo sound is the one I like but for my ears and wallet size a cheaper version is just fine. The fulltones are supposed to be gentle on tape cartriges too but anything with that many heads has to eat up some tape and be a bitch to clean the heads.

Ah, well I'm sure you are right about the $500 dollar price tag he'll get it I'm sure he sells the chorus for $350.

Man I'd love to have a roadie. If I ever win the lottery I'm going to have a bartender and a roadie on staff at my house.
