Pickups

I recently purchased my first electric, Epi Les Paul Birdseye and I am not very satisfied with the pick ups. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions that would work well with this guitar. I've been playing for about a year now and have little or no knowledge on pick ups and any help would be appreciated.
Nobody else here, nobody like me.

  • We at least know that you need humbuckers.
You're always going to be asked many questions before a pickup (pup) is recommended.
    1. What sound are you looking for?
    2. What type of wood is your guitar, both fretboard and body?
    3. I like to ask what amp are you going to run the guitar through.
    4. How much are you looking to spend?
These are questions to start out with.
    Duncans are great pups. http://www.seymourduncan.com
Let us know. Also, the duncan forum has great info.

My favorite p-ups for a Les Paul are Gibson Classic '57's. Of course, these might be absolutely horrible for you. Like LoveThemBones said, you kinda need to find the sound you're looking for and let us know what you've got before anyone can make a decent recommendation.

I had an Epi '57 Les Paul reissue, and it was one of my favorite guitars (until I had to sell it, damn it!). Best of luck...
...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.
