Gibson L6s deluxe is not the sexiest, most famous or expensive guitar Gibson made, but what a guitar. Made between 1973-79 (or 74-79). They were the poor man's Les Paul. There were 3 basic models around that time period with the "deluxe" being the cheapest, about $400 list back in the the 70's & about the same now +/- the seller & condition.
Personally its the best guitar I've ever had, picked one of the wall at a guitar shop in Denver in 1991 for $200. Best $200 I ever spent & would never sell it even for thousands of $$. Great maple neck, twin humbuckers & string through body design, super action great for rthymn & lead, maybe needs a little more balls on the high end but still a super guitar. Put a set of Grovers on it & its still playing great.
My dad loved his. I still want to buy him one when I have the money.
