i've noticed he's got some with hot rails pickups in there...but also his amps/pedals
everytime i have to take a crap i sing EVACUATION!!!
EVACUATION!!
"i'll let you be in my dream if i can be in your dream." -b.dylan
and yeah, he uses hot rails, but not on much
nils uses hotrails on all the positions in his strat tho
plus it sounds far too much like a tele to be anything different than a stock tele pup
ill let you kno tomorrow after i see him in concert
Oh and seanw you are in for an AMAZING time. I saw him both nights in Philly and it was earth-shakingly awesome!
my uncle saw him in philly i think the first night, and hes coming with my dad and i tomorrow. last time we went we got front row, and i mean very front row! i doubt we will get as good seats this time, but one could wish:)
I was on the upper deck near the back the first night, and in the lower section in the back the second night. By no means great seats, but the entire place is electric. They pretty much left me on cloud nine, which I still haven't really gotten down from completely.
Oh, and to make this M&G related, keep your ears open during Gypsy Biker. Bruce and Little Steven tear the roof off the place when with their guitar solos at the end.
and bruces pups were ALL hot rails. i was very surprised, because last time i saw him they werent.
I think i'm in the lowers behind the stage so perhaps I can see the rig a bit better (amps are behind or below the stage)
It feels like forever since I last made a significant guitar purchase, so it's nice to have someting to work toward. I played one at Sam Ash the other day and I swear it was calling my name. Oh, and I'm gonna name it Rosalita too.
but in terms of pedals that his tech uses for him live are:
boss dd3 delay
boss mega distortion
boss dyna drive
exactly
its actually a combo of a Telecaster ( body ) and Esquire ( neck ) and he bought it in Belmar NJ back in 70s for 185 bucks . It is the actual one viewed on the BTR cover ,..as well as numerous DVDs , Bootlegs, as well as Hammersmith Odeon Show . Its actually beat to hell and is filled with chips and dings . Funny thing is the guitar was used in 0 % of the composition of the BTR album . ( All of it was composed on the piano )
That it ain't no sin to be glad you're alive
