Does the sound stop when you put your hands over the strings? And are their any electronic devices in the room like flourescent lighting, Televisions or computers?
thanks

If it's fret buzz restringing won't help, you may need to adjust the setup prior to resringing, chances are it needs tweaking. If you are uncomfortable doing it yourself It's about 30 bucks to get it professionally done at a shop.
Probably a few turns of the truss rod and a little adjustment of the bridge will iron it out.
gibson les paul standard....

Ah, I understand, tune-o-matic bridge and all. I'd take it to your local shop and tell them you have a show tomorrow, ask if they can set it up today. That will more than likely fix your problem and make it a damn sight easier to play too. I doubt the problem is in your amp.
Good luck.
-seth....please help again!
maybe a loose hook up and those waves shake it na d ake it crackle?

Falls the shadow.
check the connection on your guitar to see if it's loose, then on the amp. It could be a grounding problem in the amplifier itself or it could be a blown speaker. You need to have the amplifier itself serviced.
It could also be a connection problem in your pedals or a dead battery.
i'm borrowing an amp for the show tomorrow
but i will get it serviced...
what's the best way to do that...local shop? sam ass? or guitar center?

Can't believe that was 5 years ago!
