Zvex Wah Probe (Matt Bellamy style)

Well, I'm looking into a controllable theremin style pickup or pedal....I know Bellamy has one installed as a pickup, it's the Zvex Wah Probe but on ebay I can only find pedals...is there a way to take the copper circuit board and have it installed as a pickup with an on/off toggle? or is that just one of his Manson guitar tricks?
