Well, after a few months of gathering some parts piece by piece, spec by spec.

I am going to me buddy's place to piece my tele together. (I met him a few weeks ago, after i started buying my parts....turns out he builds guitars from scratch!)

Anyways....I will be snapping away tonight piece by piece, and here's all the details for now:

2-tone Tobacco Sunburst Telecaster Body

armoth Neck w/Following Options
Vintage Modern Tele Neck
Vintage Tint Finish
1pc Maple Neck/Fingerboard
Gold Fret Wire
Abalone Dot Inlays
Graphite Nut
Vintage Tuning Holes Pre-Drilled

3. 1 Prewired/Solderless Tele w/Pickups
Modern, 4-way wiring w/no Plate
Pickups:
Bridge: Lollar '52
Neck: [Black] Lollar Charlie Christian
1 CC Tele Black Pickguard
(http://www.acmeguitarworks.com $397.75)

4. Gold Hardware

5.. 1 Gold Fender Bigsby Fender Conversion Kit

6. Control Plate & Neck plate custom engraved "Zep's Custom Guitars"

All I'm waiting for is my knobs and switch tip.

My nickname at work is Zep (no corrolation to zeppelin, but the fact that they say Zep, short for Seth....don't ask my how/why)

I was thinking the Zepcaster? Maybe...

How about a lady's name like all guitars should be?

I wasn't referring to a "Lucille" type of name...basically talking about for the headstock logo.

Taking longer than I had thought, partly due to the neck holes not lining up with the holes in the body (not my doing!).

As of right now we've installed the pickguard, routed the neck cavity to fit the charlie christian pickup (and if I decide to change to p90/humbucker, it's big enough)

We also installed the control plate and electronics (needed to be routed just a tad, just didn't fit perfectly)

It may not sound like a lot has been done but I'm learning through each step, so it will take longer than just one guy who knows his shit doing it.

Used a drill press, an oscillating sander and a router....pretty nifty shit.

Next time I go to my friends house...I hope to have the rest completed :)

Once we attach the neck safely, it's all a matter of using the drill press...and then of course making sure the bigsby works..

ah, it's never easy, but it sure is fun!
