AC adapters

Hey all,
I need to get an AC adapter to plug my tubescreamer into a powerbar. All it says on the back of the tubescreamer is 9v. It doesn't say the Ma's. Should 500 do it? Does anyone know what is the standard or if it will effect my guitar pedal if I don't have the exact right Ma's?
Thanks guys.

it should have a maximum milliamp rating on the pedal.... most are either 300 or 500 max, you can be just over or under this rating, but not by too much...... it can damage the circuitry in the pedal..... all my pedals are 300 max, and i'm using a combination of 300/500 Ma adaptors, with no noticeable effects by going over on some of them. Hope this helps....0

tubescreamer needs 100ma or so, tops. i think it's actual draw is about 45mA. a regular boss PSA adapter will work.0
