HELP! my set up !

ok./... i have this set up idea that i want to do but im not sure if it will work...
AMP

change box
FX pedal

i couldnt get the pic to work well...
so ill explain. the gain pedal and FX pedal go to the change box and so does the guitar.. then the change box goes to the amp.
the only problem i see is that the pedals have an input AND output so wouldnt i have to run 2 connections from and to them?

and by change box i mean like a channel switch pedal.
any questions? ask me....
but please help me with this set up...i'd really like to do this.
