question about Ed's '72 Telecaster Custom

does anybody know if that 72 tele ed was playing awhile ago was an actual 72, or was it a mexican or japanese reissue??

    All I know is that my '72 Tele is cooler than Ed's.
    ...and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.
