ebay is probably the only option. i live in portland (one of the more vinyl friendly places i've ever been) and i have yet to find a single release here other than ITW. although some cities have record stores that specialize in hard to find and rare stuff.0

yeah, it's the same in Seattle, you'd have to really DIG to find anything other than ten and vitalogy here on vinyl. I say ebay too...deep, deep blue of the morning

As far as record stores go, most of them have been cleaned out of all PJ vinyl years ago. If you do see something it's hard to hesitate because it will sell quickly. That being said, I was lucky enough to find a copy of No Code last week in a record store and the guy sold it to me for 10 bucks. This is a place that has collectible, expensive vinyl on the walls, like a $125 Butthole Surfers record. I guess they didn't know or care to look it up.Let's see those 2013 dates in the southern states.0

After being laughed at by pretty much every vendor at a vinyl swapmeet and sale, I found a sealed copy of Vs for $35...it's the one with the different cover and no name... and the Last Kiss CD for $3...but the cover has been partially chewed by a cockatiel ...
The vendors were laughing at me when I asked "Do you have any Pearl Jam?"
I did find a copy of Headquarters (Monkees) for $5...be philanthropic0 -
You'll find stuff on eBay, gemm.com, etc. The plus is that you'll be able to find pretty much any vinyl on there. The negative, of course, that you'll have to pay an arm and a leg for it.
Personally, I like the challenge of one day happening upon the records I don't have for a fair price. The only vinyls I have ever bought off eBay have been singles, all for less than $10 each. Most aren't hard to find.
In terms of the scarcer records, I just keep searching record stores, swap meets, etc. in the quest to stumble upon something good. It requires a lot of patience, but DAMN it's a great feeling when you find something you never thought you'd get your hands on!
So far I have found Temple of the Dog for $5, Yield for $10 (though the cover is a bit damaged), and Vitalogy for $10. I also found a strange techno remix of "Betterman" on vinyl for $5. It sucks, but hey, I figured I might as well buy it.
Good luck with your search.
