hey all, while i was in australia my finacee introduced me to this band from brisbane. they're called powderfinger. these guys are AWESOME. as a musician i really respect what these guys are doing. check out "odessey #5" and their latest "vulture street." they toured here back in 2001. hopefully they'll come back next year for a bigger US tour.

    hell yeah. awesome, awesome band.

    my fave album of theirs is called internationalist.. if you haven't heard it, and the song 'passenger', i highly recommend it.

    Yeah the finger are cool!
    I quite like Bernard Fannings solo album too. Its worth a listen.

    They are playing in London on the 4th June. Unfortuanely i can go as i am playing that night. :cry:

    start with double allergic.

    cant believe no one has mentioned their 2nd and greatest album IMO... oipic, daf, pick you up. living type, electric horseman, take me in, give, JC... there is no filler at all on DA.

    then comes internationalist. already gone is one of the all time greatest tracks... capoicity, belter, hindley st, celebrity head, DWBLO.. all brilliant... over my head and lemon sunrise are a bit of filler, but the rest is A grade material.
    Yeh I've seen Pearl Jam, too. But I can't remember the dates.
