I'm a novice guitarist and I tend to play along with a lot of different cd's in my stereo. I tend to always find that when I play PJ songs along with the cd (mostly live cd's) I have trouble staying in rythm with the band. Do you know if they frequently use odd time signatures when playing live??? Like I said, I'm novice and tend to play in 4/4 time signature and seem to always fall of rythm. Thanks in advance.

  • most of their songs are 4/4 time.

on a few occassions they mix it up (Evacuation), but most of the songs are pretty straight forward.
"I'll do whatever the song dictates - if it doesn't need a real lead, then I won't do one. But if it does, then I'll fuckin' go off." - Mike

"Japan is awesome; the fans there knew all the words to all the songs...at least phonetically." - Stone

"I know this song so well, I can smoke a cigarette, have a drink, brush my teeth, take a shit, and mow the lawn while singing it. But I'll only be doing a couple of those things during this version." - EV

Let's see... (from the top of my head, stuff could be missing or wrong but I'll correct it later if so)

    3/4:
    Release
    Deep
    Small Town
    Blood (Chorus)
    Nothingman
    Red Mosquito
    Rival
    I Am Mine
    All Or None
    1/2 Full
    Masters Of War
    ..

    Even Stranger:
Sleight of Hand (5/4 in verses)
    Cropduster (7/4 in verses)
    Get Right (6/4 in chorus)
    Evacuation (f***ed up!?)
In The Moonlight (part of it 6/4 but with strange stuff here and there, Matt's a twisted soul..)
Low Light (3/4, sometimes 4/4 alternating without a clear pattern?)

More to come I guess :o
