a friend of mine posted this on another board but he hasn't gotten any helpful answers so i was wondering if someone here could answer his question. any help would be greatly appreciated.
"If anybody can help, I'm trying to set up my PC to record shit in it. I have a condenser Mic, a 12 channel mixer ,and a Sound Blaster Audigy 2zs Soundcard and I want to run it thru Acid 4.0. What is the correct set up for it ? I tried hooking it up, I can hear the mic in the PC speakers but it won't record either on Acid or the generic windows sound recorder. What I'm I doing wrong ? any feedback would be appreciated"

check your recording parameters i.e. making sure it's recording based on "monitor" and through the line in i'm assuming....that's in your regular volume controls if you go to properties...
there's a playback setting and a setting for recording...mine has
"what you hear"
"line in"
"microphone"
try checking that stuff out first it may help

My guess is that you haven't correctly told the software where the sound is coming into your computer. There should be a menu item that selects what input to record from....and if you don't like it, you can suck on an egg.0
